How can businesses get involved?

About EITC funds

EITC was established in Pennsylvania in 2001 as a way for businesses to keep their state tax payments local.  A business must apply to the PA Department of Community and Economic Development in order to participate, but if they are approved then they could receive a 90% tax credit for their EITC contributions up to $750,000 annually.

What do my EITC funds cover?

EITC funds are used to pay for AP tests and dual enrollment at Grove City College, giving students a better starting point in their college career. Covering the cost of AP tests ensures that more AP students are able to get the credit for the classes they've taken. Dual enrollment at our local college supports the student, the high school, and the college.

DONATION FAQs

  • HOW ARE DONATIONS MANAGED?

The Grove City Education Foundation has been established through the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern Ohio, the same umbrella nonprofit that holds investments for the town foundation and the healthcare foundation.  All funds raised will be held in the same place, until they are forwarded to the school district.

The Grove City Foundation holds all investments for scholarships and the distribution process for them is well established.

  • WHAT DOES MY DONATION FUND?

GCEF donations are used to build school programs, accept tax deductible donations, and provide a network of support with local businesses. Donations do not cover things the school district already receives money for (like textbooks and meals). Donations do cover teacher grants, technology purchases, dual enrollment, AP exam costs, arts and music, science and technology enrichment, and other supports for students.

The GCEF does not take the place of parent organizations

  • HOW ELSE CAN I HELP?

Community members can support our students by providing internship and employment opportunities that will help students transition from high school to college or the workplace.
